About us

Built for the county’s oldest housing.

LeadSafe Maryland exists because finding straight answers about lead paint in Montgomery County was harder than it should be. Search the topic and you get state regulatory pages written for lawyers, national directories, and lead-generation sites for companies that do not even serve Maryland. Meanwhile the county holds tens of thousands of pre-1978 rental units on a legally mandated inspection cycle, and thousands of families in older houses wondering whether the peeling porch paint is a problem. Both deserved a local answer with prices attached.

What we are

A Rockville-focused lead paint service that publishes its pricing, explains the Maryland rental certificate cycle in plain language, tests before quoting, and coordinates the whole job from first XRF reading to filed certificate. One point of contact, a written itemized quote, and the paperwork done right.

Who does the work

Maryland requires lead abatement and risk reduction work in covered housing to be performed by contractors accredited by the Maryland Department of the Environment, with clearance testing by independent MDE-accredited inspectors. Renovation work on pre-1978 homes runs under the federal EPA RRP rule. Everything we arrange is performed under those accreditations, and the accreditation number appears on every quote.
